Area Study Centre (Russia, China & Central Asia) University of Peshawar, invites applications for the admissions in M.Phil. & PhD. Programs, on regular basis, for the Session 2022-2023 Fall Semester
(10,M.Phil./05, PhD.Seats).
Eligibility for M.Phil. Programme:
Master degree or 4-years education after intermediate (130 credit hours) in Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities/LLB with at least 2nd Division in Annual System or a CGPA of 2.5 in Semester System from HEC recognized University. The Candidate must pass screening (GRE Type) test conducted by the Centre, securing at least 60% marks.
Eligibility for PhD.Programme:
Foreign Master Degree, MS/M. Phil. in Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities/LLM or equivalent (at least 18 years education), with a CGPA of 3.00 in Semester System or 1" division in Annual System from HEC recognized university. The Candidate must pass screening (GRE Type) test conducted by the Centre, securing at least 70% marks.
Admission Procedure:
Applications complete in all respects, along with attested copies of Degrees, DMCS, CNIC, 2 photographs and NOC from employer (if employed) shall reach this office on or before Monday 15 August,
2022.Applications received after due date will not be considered. Classes will start from Thursday September 1 2022.
📝Test/Interview:
Written Test (GRE Type) and Interview will be held at 09 a.m., Monday, 22 August, 2022 in the Centre's building. Individual calls for Test and Interview will not be issued, this notice be taken as a call for the test/interview, in case the Candidate fulfils essential requirements for admission. Admission form is available at the Centre on cash payment of Rs. 1000/. Queries, regarding admissions shall be addressed to the office of Area Study Centre, University of Peshawar. Admission forms can also be downloaded from http://www.asc-centralasia.edu.pk and payment shall be made at the time of form submission.
Note: Area Studies as a multi-disciplinary field requires more a "Discipline" than a "Disciplinary Research".
